Repower with MercuryKeep your boat, put a new outboard on the back

Sartin Marine is an authorized Mercury sales and service dealer near Lake Fork. We help you pick the right outboard, then rig and install it in our Yantis shop.

What a repower is

A repower swaps the motor on your boat for a new one. Your hull, layout and the accessories you already set up stay put. You get a new outboard, current controls and gauges, and a fresh Mercury warranty, without buying a new boat.

Why boaters repower

Mercury's top reasons to repower, in short.

  • Reliability

An older motor tends to need more trips to the shop. A new one keeps you fishing.

  • Newer technology

Current Mercury outboards work with SmartCraft digital gauges and features such as Active Trim.

  • Lower upkeep

Aging engines often cost more to keep running each season.

  • A fresh warranty

A new Mercury outboard comes with a new Mercury limited warranty.

  • Fuel use

Newer outboards are built to burn less fuel than prior-generation engines.

  • You like your boat

Keep the boat and the setup you already know, and change only what is worn out.

Rigged by people who know Mercury

Anthony, our master technician, has worked on outboards here since 1995 and is certified on Mercury and Mercury Racing. Bryan has rigged boats since 1990 and handles trolling motors and graphs.

A repower is more than bolting on a motor. Controls, steering, gauges and electronics all have to work together, and getting that right is the job of our rigging and service team.

How a repower works

Three steps from your old motor to a new Mercury.

  1. Pick the engine

We look at your boat and how you use it, then help you choose the Mercury outboard, controls and gauges that fit.

  2. We rig and install

Our technicians plan the job, install the outboard and set it up so it is ready for the water.

  3. Get back on the lake

We go over the new motor with you so you know how to get the most out of it.

Warranty and financing

Mercury backs recreational outboards with up to three years of limited warranty plus its corrosion warranty. Mercury also offers repower financing through Sheffield Financial that can cover the full package: the motor, rigging, gauges and installation.

Ask us which Mercury programs apply to your repower, or start our own financing application today.

Warranty and financing terms are set by Mercury Marine and its lending partner and can change.
